Interfaith Rainforest Initiative

Multi-faith initiative mobilising religious leaders and communities to protect tropical rainforests and Indigenous Peoples' rights.

The Interfaith Rainforest Initiative works to halt tropical deforestation by engaging religious leaders and faith communities as advocates for environmental protection. Through education, public campaigns and policy advocacy, it raises awareness, challenges harmful narratives and mobilises support for rainforest conservation and Indigenous Peoples' rights. Active in five major rainforest countries, it seeks to influence public attitudes and political decisions to drive lasting environmental change.
